caught on kbs 8th anniversary schedule, interview with rain

tae woo invited as friend

rain speaking about the christmas eve night when he was rehearsing and pretty broke back then, called tae woo and told him he was starving, and tae woo arrived with 2 big bags of bread(i think).

rain mentioned the significance of that visit as back then tae woo as god member was at the height of popularity, still made time on a busy night to bring food for his bro.
tae woo added this was the period during lies album (should be about 2000) when rain turned to tae woo and said "u were really huge back then" ...

i've just all this ambivalent feelings watching this and it invariably makes me feel like why must tae woo allow himself to make it like he's so has-been?? he's like only 30 with his future way before him ... hate it hate it hate it

dr belyakov 25 years ago when he volunteered for clean up eforts at chernobyl. during his 40-day stint, he lost 16kg and was unable to walk 100m without feeling exhausted. he was back to playing sports after about 18 months.


dr sergei belyakov who volunteered for clean up service at chernobyl after it exploded. of his experience-

"... i came back a mess, like a soldier from war. but it also made me a man. i can eat pressure for breakfast."

"... so for every day that i can wake up and walk around, i thank god for that. my memories are still as vivid as though it happened just yesterday. i saw a threat of planetary magnitude, a beast which caused so much harm and could have caused far more if not for the people who stood with me, shoulder to shoulder, to stop it."

"... people soon forgot what we had done and seemed resentful of us, maybe because they found the accident so shameful. the looks they gave me were full of disgust and soon i stopped using my chernobyl veteran's pass."

"as a scientist, i believe there is no other option for mankind. it is so efficient, so clean, so powerful. but plants must be well organised and run according to strict safety measures. that is really the only option."

and incredibly actor park sihoo worked in obscurity for 10 YEARS! before he hit the big time. in the 10 years, dad predicted he would quit but mom never said a thing and just kept supporting him.

incredibly, he has such close ties with his family ie. mom and bro especially, and is so comfortable around them, HE LOVES BEING AROUND HIS FAMILY! what a treat. he thanked his mom for her support and for taking such good care of him through the years so he never had to worry much. and mom says he worked hard and made a living out of modelling, doing commercials and just kept at it and finally hit pay dirt.

the second kiss scene -- she set it up so nicely for park sihoo to play the hero. oooh, her co stars are lucky to be up against her; she makes them all look so good. this is a nice little gem of a drama, great also were her co stars especially choi songhyeon as jong song
